Spring 2010 Academy Information

Advanced Acting Seminar and Production Project - (Grades 6-12)
Instructor: Carol Herin Jordan
This class is designed to provide teenagers with the opportunity to work with challenging dramatic literature cultimating in an hour-long production of a classic play. The class will focus on acting technique, scene work, script analysis, and audition skills that will be used in rehearsals to stage an actual production.
January 14-April 29; Thursdays from 5:30pm-7:00pm - $125
Class will perform two school day shows and at the showcase on May 5 at 7:30pm.
After Jungle Book, may add 1-2 rehearsals per week.

Wee Theatre - (Ages 4-8)
Instructor: Jessica Harris
First introduction to acting. Instruction and participation in a group performance. Class will practice and perform Rapunzel.
January 11-May 3; Mondays 5:30pm-6:30pm - $100
Showcase: Monday, May 3 at 6:00pm.

Acting Intermediate - (Ages 7-12)
Instructor: TBD
Prerequisite: Acting 101 or acting experience. Further instruction on acting basics. All a young actor needs to know to be a part of a production.
January 14-April 29; Thursdays 5:30pm-7pm - $100
Showcase: Monday, May 3 at 7:30pm

Acting 101 - (Ages 7-12)
Instructor: TBD
Focus on basic acting terms, techniques, and theatre etiquitte.
January 14-April 29; Thursdays 5:30pm-7pm - $100
Showcase: Wednesday, May 5 at 6:00pm

*20% discount for multiple classes per family.
*All classes will take place in the Pushin Building (400 E. Main St.).
*Each class has a minimum of 10 participants. In the event a class does not reach that number, the class will be cancelled.
